Winter Leftovers

Every spring and fall I head outdoors  to  clean up the yard and get things ready for the next  season. I prune roses and shrubs and cut down and clear the dead and dying vegetation and flowers from the garden beds which I would then throw either in to the compost or a lawn bag. As I would work through the garden with my pruning clippers I became aware of how beautiful life is even at its furthest end. Bouquets of death and decay, subtle colors as soft as a last breath against the mirror.
